How about EC coming back just in time for the Bracket Buster game? That would be just shy of six weeks. That would be cool. The Dome would be going crazy!
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

It isn't all bad in Crawford country. Crawford was named Prairie Farms/Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week. You have to look at the positives!!

Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

just curious if anyone knows specifics about the surgery i.e. what specific bone and if pins or screws are needed? that could go along way as to when he'll be back on the court.

My uncle said that EC could be back for the last to regular season games realistically and seeing as how he knows who did the surgery I think that is a likely a good judgement. EC should be ready to go for sure by MVC and NCAA lets hope he gets his strength and confidence back fast and gets well soon.

It was his 5th meta-tarsal bone in his right foot. Not sure about the pin or screw involved.

is that the same area of his foot as his stress fracture? or it is a completely different injury?

Erik Crawford being out is not too big of deal. It would have been if it was Tournament Time. It's Travis Brown's time to shine! Get him plenty of minutes in league play so he can be ready to contribute in the Postseason Tournaments.

In gait ("walking pattern"), the reliance of weight on the 5th metatarsal is key (the outside bone of the long finger like bones in the foot). It is best to get this injury healed up, rested, and then hit rehab hard. IMO, I would rather see Erik back closer to the 6 week mark, than the 4 week mark, for extra precautions, to make sure that EC's foot is healed up. I think it would be awesome to see him back for the Bracket Buster game. That would be 2 days shy of 6 weeks.

Thanks Dr. Bone. I see that you are actually studying from time to time

PTTB is right according to both the Orthopedic surgeons in my family. Besides I think EC would not come back until he is 100% sure he is ready. He is a very smart kid and knows how and when to play the game.
