Coach McDermott had some pretty interesting things to say today:
On staying in the top 25...
"We lost a game but we stayed in the rankings because our league is so good."
On getting five Valley teams into the NCAA Tourney...
"If you pay any attention to the power #'s it's certainly viable. The rpi isn't a great measuring tool 10 or 15 games in, but it's pretty good 20 games in. Five or six of our teams are in the top 60, and when you go this many games in and you're still that strong, I think it's showing some consistency in how you've played. I don't think there's any queestion that we deserve 4 teams in the tournament, I think our league is that good."
I would have liked to hear him say five, but I agree with him nevertheless. There's more over at the Valley Ledger.
