If there was a positive tonight it was JLit having a massive outing. With the return of Crawford I think its important to reflect on howbig JLit has been all year. Little turned what could have been a horrible situation without Crawford into an opportunity (1L). The guy has really improved as a shooter and continues to be one of the best defenders in the league. What I really give John credit for is his willingness to do whatever Mac needs. People forget that Little started more games the Benny their freshman year, only to lose a starting spot the next year because of a highly touted transfer (Crawford) and a freshman who had just rewrote Iowa highschool bball history (Brooks). A lot of guys would have transfered, especially if their hometown had a DI program that had recruited them in the 1st place. Yet, Johnny staid the course and has given everything he has whether he's 8th, 6th, or 5th on the roster. In that way he reminds me of Foster. Benny and Crawford leaving will make me cry, but so will John. His value is really equal to both of them because of all the roles he's filled over the years. He is going to make one heck of a coach someday. I have a fealing someday theres going to be a threeway race in the Valley and the three coaches involved are going to be Devries, Foster, and Little. Finally, a question. Because of his starts this year (although they were for an injured player) will he be ineligible for the MVC 6th man of the year? If he can win it he should, because no one deserves it more.

He kept us in the game when others were struggling last night...just another example of seniors stepping up when their number is called! Head up JLit!!! 4 games to go!!!!!! GO PANTHERS!!!"10% of life is what happens to you, 90% is how you react to what happens."Comment

JLit got the team back in the game time and time again. I love seeing him get the shots rolling. He is the most underrated player on the team. He is always running the floor, playing TOUGH D, and scraping for loose balls. John brings spark of life to the team when they guys are flat. Just last night couldnt get the fire stated for everyone else.
Lets hope the ECrawford, Ben, John, Brooks, EColeman, and Grant all get hot in at the same time now. This team will unstoppable at that time.
Great game JLit. GO PANTHERS!!!

Little had an awesome game last night. He has been playing well this whole year though. He is truely a utility man. I'm just disappointed that we didn't look to get him the last shot last night. He was hot and I know we always try to hit the guy who is hot. Let's go get a win at Indiana State on Tuesday boys!!! Go Panthers!!!Coach Whisenhunt 1/18/09. "There was never any complaints about not being named the starter, all he wanted was an opportunity and he took advantage of it. Kurt is probably one of the greatest individuals you'll ever meet. Kurt worked hard on a lot of things that a lot of times older quarterbacks aren't willing to do. That's a credit to his humility and his competitive drive, and the reason that we are here today in great part is what Kurt Warner has done for us."Comment
