Actually, I am extemely interested in hearing the story about the Bucknell pep band. I had not heard of the UNI band being so wonderful as to become the Bucknell band at the NCAA tournament last year, and it makes me proud they did that! Cheers for the UNI band!
And now the Bucknell band is learning the UNI fight song and will play it on Saturday (in purple shirts, I hope!) at half time, as a thank you. Great story!
(I did find it a bit saddening that the Bucknell site does not seem to have a place to listen to 'Ray Bucknell, other than the football team cheering it, so I am not sure if that is the fight song or not. I did hear the alma mater, but no reference for listening to the fight song.)

I dont remember, I think they may have played it before halftime. But they played wayyyy to much and were extremely annoying. Thought they came to play one song, not play the whole game.

thats what pep bands do! haha.. plus, that was pretty much their only fans in the dome, so their band had to make some noise for them..John 3:16

We left talking about how little they played. I did notice that whomever was doing music in the dome overpowered the Bison band a few times. I was surprised the Bucknell band wasn't given more chances to do something.Originally posted by EastonWestI dont remember, I think they may have played it before halftime. They played the UNI Fight Song as we came back on the floor after halftime. We were on the same side as their band, so it was hard to hear, but still a pretty cool thing. Did ESPN make any mention of it?
By the way...earlier this week I made a post about the music selection in the dome. A little better tonight, especially in the first half I thought, then back to the same old script.

Yeah, I noticed the PA music would overpower Bucknell's band whenever they tried to play anything. Kind of funny. Was pretty cool how they put on purple hats when playing our fight song. They had a few other fans there, also. For an enrollment of 3350, I thought it was pretty good they had their band and cheerleaders to go along with their faithful fans that followed them here. I liked the two lone orange shirts sitting a couple rows behind the team, carrying the "Bison" sign.
