What do you think about that?

    Believe it?

(To Clarify: I believe he said it... but do you believe it is sincere?)

I'll believe it when I see it.

I suppose there's really no other way to look at it.

He said it during the Q&A portion of his press conference. I believe it, especially with Kerwin.

Here is the link to the video on the ISU site. It has not yet been archived, but I'm sure it will in the next day or so

Could go either way. If you wanted to continue to impress a young recruit (or parents), would you beg them to skip out on their previous commitment, or would take the high road? And then hope that the recruit follows you up the high road?

Not saying that he's lying, I just see that there is more than one way to land a recruit. Heck, after hanging up the phone, it's possible that a recruit would be thinking "Damn, I wish there was a way I could play for that guy!" and then beg Hartzell for a release. Again, nothing underhanded about it, just might be the impression that his comments make.

If Jacobson is already making the rounds tonight, getting in touch with these kids, then we're doing what we need to do. UNI is a great place, and they are already sold on that, so half the battle is won.

Plus, we have a clear message to give the parents and the kids. Listen, Mac is a great coach, but he didn't feel the lure of what you're class, and what potential you brought to UNI was enough to stick around and help realize. We can realize that potential in a situation and institutional circumstance you already are looking forward to.

He said it in the press conference...but what's he going to say? He can't recruit them from UNI now that they've signed an LOI and he's an employee of another school. He said what he needed to say and hopefully those kids do honor their commitment.
