Are they playing bball this year?

  • #2
Not until the football season is done.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

They'll get an earlier start this year which could be good for the team. There is some size and bulk there to help out down low.
If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

Especially Pedescleaux. He was runner up Mr. Basketball in Minnesota a couple of years ago. I think he will get some minutes!

Wow...All 4 are better than Wilson (WSU), Tolliver (CU), Falker (SIU), Shaw(SIU), Webster (EU). That's a pretty big statement. Stout and Coleman are definitely among the best talk, but the other 2 have yet to prove they belong.

I think he probably meant to say that as a group our top 4 are the best in the league rather than individually they are the 4 best in the league.

Everette was a stud in high school, I know Mac and the other coaches were really disapointed when he went to Minnesota. However, I've seen him play a little bit here and there and he is definitly not in basketball shape yet. Football shape and basketball shape are totally different. He's also a little raw since he hasn't played a lot lately. And he missed all of last year with a torn ACL. But I agree, if he can get into the flow a little bit he will problay get some minutes. But I wouldn't expect seeing much, if any of him until 2nd semester.

Howard on the other hand was just on the team last year so they could have another big body in practice. Not much of a basketball player, but he is a big boy. But he'll be stuck with mop up duty. I think he's playing bball now just to continue his conditioning and give us a practice player.

If Everette can look like the one of the past, he will be out first post player off the bench, he was that good. But I'm sure a lot might have changed in 3 years.
