CYCLONE ALLEY MEN'S BASKETBALL ROAD TRIP INFO 2006

    Hey, Cyclone Alley members...

Thanks for participating in this years Men’s Basketball Road Trip to Cedar Falls. Cyclone Alley Central would like to give you some information that will help you make the necessary arrangements to attend the game.

You are required to check in between 3:00 and 3:30 on Wednesday November 29th in the Jacobson Building. Upon checking in, you will receive:
    your ticket for the game
Official 2006 Men’s Road Rally Towel
    A Quiznos sub and chips
Reminder: There will be no Road Trip T-shirt (since UNI is gold as well), so wear your regular Cyclone Alley T-shirt for the game and show off your Cardinal Spirit!!

It is important to remember that the Jacobson Building is a place of business. Please respect the athletics department and be respectful of the environment.

After checking in, we will depart Ames and head north to the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
IMPORTANT: 30 minutes after the game is over, we will load the buses and head back to Ames.

For those of you driving to the Jacobson Building, we have made arrangements for you to park your vehicle directly across the street in the commuter lot

Reminder: As a member of Cyclone Alley, you have agreed to a code of conduct. http://www.cyclonealley.org/en/our_mission/

One of the expectations in this code is that no person will attend games or other Cyclone Alley activities under the influence of alcohol or any illegal substances. This policy is in effect for this bus trip.

Thanks for making this trip successful once again.

Remember what happened this year when Western Ill came to the Dome and we let their players, band and fans dominate the atmosphere. Let's take the Clown Alley right out of the game from the start!!! I still have vivid memories of the last time ISU students were in the Dome for a basketball game. They just kinda sat there with heads in their hands when down by 30+
"This program is the most important thing. It was here before we were here, and it will be here after we leave. Right now, we represent this program and this university. We represent the community, we represent the state, and we will do everything that we can to put UNI football at the level we're proud of and always have been at this university. When I'm talking about this program, I'm talking about alumni. This place is important to them, just as it is to me." - Mark Farley, Football Coach

I was probably one of the students not happy when ISU came to the Dome last time. However, there was no organized trip over last time so this year will be a little different. You might have also seen me walking out with 10 minutes to go as your student section continued to do everything but step on the court and fight our players (I know, I know, Morgan's a thug and started everything but still...)

No, I think Blaylock started it, or was it Homan knocking Stout into the stands, or was it Stinson acting like a punk. Take your pick.

I hope you are bringing a good supply of hankies to cry in for the bus trip back home.

I've since moved out of the state so I won't be attending the game tonight. You'll be happy to know that I am technically supporting UNI athletics by paying to watch game online. I'll take it that you are just trying to talk smack but that last thing ISU fans think about this game is that we're going to come in and beat you guys....you have the edge in experience and talent so I would hope you'd win. Everyone I've interacted with thinks that the spread of around 7 points (UNI favored) is about perfect.

P.S. I think you must have been in the restroom when Marsden poked a cheerleader in the eyes 2 years ago (what a dirty team).

                    Classic! LOL!

Hey were is a copy of the email all students were sent:

                    Hello Panther Fans!!

It's the game we've all been waiting for- UNI vs. ISU. We want to thank all of you for
getting tickets to cheer on our Panthers for this big game.

Coach Mac will be back on campus for the first time since he left UNI. We are asking our fellow students to show Greg McDermott respect when he is announced; after all, he deserves much of the credit for the construction of our new McCleod center and the success of our program the past several years. After the introduction, let's just make sure Jake's Jungle is loud and crazy so we can cheer our Panthers on to a victory over Clones!!!

Grant Erwin-Student Body President & Jennifer Younie-Student Body VP

Mac doesn't deserve boo's. Let's instead show him what he left!

Clown Alley was a non-factor. Practically silent.

Was Cyclone Alley even at the game? I didn't see them or hear them? They must have had some tractor transportation issues...

There was a visible red section at the game. They didn't have much of a chance to make any noise.

It was a pretty small section of Clown fans.
