131. Northern Iowa: UNI needs to get its act together on both sides of the boards. The Panthers ranked 319th in offensive rebounding last season but were 12th in defensive rebounding -- the greatest disparity in the sport.

Why exactly do we need to get our act together on "both" sides of the board if we were the 12th best defensive rebounding team in the country last year? We are typically ranked in the 300s for offensive rebounding % as we lean towards getting back to stop transition instead of sending people to the boards. I know putting together a ranking of 353 teams is difficult but the blurb is really lazy writing by Norlander.

Quality insights right there folks. Just remember he is getting paid for that level of expertise. If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

I am guessing I can't input a scatter plot here but here is the table. The only real outlier is we were comparatively "good" (still #231) at offensive rebounds in 2010 .Year Overall Rank Off Reb Rank Def reb Rank 2019 169 319 13 2018 105 298 4 2017 162 350 136 2016 57 351 70 2015 17 298 28 2014 81 319 32 2013 80 336 13 2012 86 328 7 2011 98 333 7 2010 28 231 6 2009 83 293 6 2008 119 328 21 Last edited by UNIAlum2010; 10-23-2019, 08:53 AM. Reason: Edit: Added Defensive Rebounding Rank. I have a great appreciate for the job they have done over the years defensive rebounding. Those are extremely good ranks.
