Dave at Bracketville has us as an 8th seed in Omaha playing Seton Hall, with Kansas as the #1 seed there. He is rated #1 on the bracketmatrix, Jerry Palm is #85 and Joe Lunardi is #55.

    • 2016 . . . . 11905
    • 2017 . . . . 11907
So, less than a one percent bump the Fall semester following the Sweet 16 from Fall 2009, to an all time high for the school.

A drop in Fall 2011, still about seven-tenths of a percetage point above Fall 2009.

    Then in decline since.

2014-15 season. Best win out of conference was Illinois state. Their OOC strength of schedule was horrible

That won't happen. They'll look at the "entire body of work," which will include their conference schedule. It's one of the major reasons P5 schools don't schedule tough non conference games, because they don't have to. They know they'll get all they need in conference to "prove" themselves to the committee.

For a mid major is makes it even more of a big deal. It also gets their game highlights on ESPN and other national tv shows which in turn helps recruiting and surprisingly helps enrollment at UNI because of more exposure. The national exposure also helps bring attention to the team for the NCAA tournament committee and helps with an at large bid and seeding. Lots of good comes with a top 25 ranking!

It's fun to see UNI's score in the top 25 ticker on the sports channels.
