Let's not forget that we have a very important game on Tuesday night at Illinois State. Road Valley wins are tough to get and Illinois State will be hungry for a win!!

Illinois State will be ready to get off the snide and take down the #1 team in the conference currently. Dilligard and Slack are big time talents. Richardson was a Juco AA I believe. Osiris Eldridge is a phenomenal talent. This team will be looking to take it to UNI. Hopefully UNI is focused and ready like they have been all year long.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

I didn't forget about the upcoming game, just thought you might like to see what the Bluejays are saying. http://thebluejaycafe.com/BB/viewtop...?p=50611#50611

We will be at Peppers Grill and Sports Pub before the game. It is at 620 East 18th St. in Cedar Falls, only a few blocks from Hudson and 27th where the new gym is.

a few blocks is quite stretching it...try almost a mile if not more...good luck to them trying to find it. They will prob. get messed up with the 620 EAST 18th and WEST 27th...

Well, Cedar Falls is not too tough to get around...18th street to Hudson, then you see the dome. We need to welcome them to the Jungle! Can't wait for them to HEAR the roar!

In BlueJay cafe there is a post about the father of a player being recruited saying that he respects the way Creighton goes about their recruiting, their program is "clean", unlike a couple other Valley schools. Then they start speculating who those two would be, it starts off mostly with BU, WSU and MSU but then further down the list people start saying something about "Chewey" and UNI being a little dirty. What are they talking about?
                    Sincerely,

Chewie, are they talking about Marc Wigim? Marc when did you start recruiting?

                      <<<<<ducks.
Oh, and let me make this perfectly clear to you people: you go to UNI, NOT IOWA. The Hawkeyes and their fans do not give a crap if you remain "true to them" or some stupid self-fulfulling bullcrap like that.-OTP

Luckily, we don't play the games so we can talk about this one today before ILSt.

My only worry about the Friday night game is that it will hurt community support due to high school b-ball. Will this be the case or are ticket sales going fine? I hope I dont receive an email less than 24 hours before tip saying that there are still 2,000 tix available or something.

Somewhat related... I never once considered that Jan 12th was a Friday night. So I made plans to go to a boxing match up here in Minneapolis for Friday and now I just put 2 & 2 together. It should be an awesome experience as its in the Target Center and we have free ringside seats that are valued at $250 a piece (including all-you-can-drink beer) and a buddy is fighting in the undercard. However, I didnt realize that my attention will now have to be diverted a bit.

Why is this game on Friday??

Actually I just looked and we don't get the game. You know, last year every single time UNI was on one of the FSN channels it was carried on my Fox Sports "package" and this year I've been denied the WSU and now the CU games. Have no fear though, the UW-Stevens Point women's b-ball game will be on at 8 p.m. so no one has to miss that one.

                          WTF??

Two reasons I can think of for the Friday game.

                            1) I believe the National Duals Wrestling Tourney is in the Dome this weekend, and this helps with the crowd.

                            2) I think I read somewhere that the Missouri Valley Conference was actually formed on January 12, so this Friday is THE 100th Anniversary of the Conference.

                              1) -- Forgot about the Duals

                              2) -- Interesting if that is the case. Thanks!
