  • This week is huge.

Aren't they all in the Valley? However this week we have a chance to get another precious road win and to finally pull that Creighton thorn out of our side. We should be able to win both games, but both will be hard to get.

I hope we aren't ranked today. Wasn't it right before the CU game last year we were ranked and then spanked? If we win both games this week we will be ranked next week like it or not. If we don't win both we won't be, whether we are today or not.

I kind of agree here. Last year, we became ranked right before the game @CU and we lost. Hopefully we can pull out a win a Normal and hopefully, beat CU. I am tired of them beating us 4 times in a row.

The road win FIRST is the most important game of the week. That gives us 2 road wins in the first 5 conference games and a chance at breaking our losing streak to Creighton at home on Friday.

MSU just ended a 4-year losing streak to WSU on Sunday, so...let's take care of business tomorrow night in Normal and then try and break a little losing streak of our own Friday night.

Just checked tickets online and only about 40 seats remaining in the north upper bleachers for Friday's game. Students should gobble up their share.

I know Jake and the old guys like McKowen, Coleman and Stout wont over look IlSU but, I hope the young guys are there mentally cause its going be a rough one.

Side note, I think that Dana just had Coach Mac's number, just wouldnt work, but I have a good feeling about Coach Ben, hes changed things just a little and it might be just the small switches that are needed to take down Dana and the boys. Thats my hope any way.

My observation on CU is that they were harder to beat because their defense was even tougher than SIU's - they grab jerseys and hold on much worse than anyone else!

Remember 2 weeks ago when everyone was saying we really needed to start out 4 - 2, with a hope for 5 - 1? This is great! I don't remember the last time I've been to a regular season game where so many adults stood up 5 times in a row to cheer on defensive stops like Sat.

Hey PTTB, is the Creighton game sold out
"I think they're very good," Farley said of the preseason top 25 Hawkeyes. "But so are we."

RH stated yesterday at the Press Luncheon that there are tickets available for all games. There might have been a hint of frustration with the whole ticketing process in his talk...

I have yet to see anything that says it's sold out.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.
