If we can't get this one, something is really wrong. Granted, it's on the road but need to get a W against the last place team in the MVC. But then again, I thought that with the UIC game too.

Heise sprained an ankle Monday and will not play.

      Because of course.

33% boys. Make at least 33% of our deep shots, miss no more than 33% of our free throws.

Interesting set of announcers. And man, I thought the UIC crowd was sparse.

Do we have the ability to throw it inside and it not be turned over?

Valpo’s gym is so ****ty. They really hood-winked the MVC, promising to improve their facilities if they were allowed to join.

Did what we needed to, start to finish. Finally.

                  Solid, solid effort.

                  Good on you Landon Wolf!

Did what we were supposed to do. Yes, delighted for Wolf. Hutson, Anderson, and Duax also were solid tonight.

Interesting to learn during the broadcast that Jacobson has been “mentoring” Valpo’s new head coach, Powell Jr. Admirable.

It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that Jake is more than happy to give advice to anyone who is smart enough to reach out.
Incredibly proud of how the guys played last night. That game could have very easily gone sideways after Sunday, especially with Nate not playing, plus Bo and Ty getting dinged up. That road win very well might have been the spark we needed to turn this thing around, I hope so. Tough stretch coming up with a trip to Normal sandwiched in-between two massive home games.

The last couple games we have been without one of our go to scorers, our ball movement and effort has looked much better. It almost feels like we have a tendency to get complacent when they are in there.

Duax hasn't been shooting a ton of threes but I think he's around 50% now. It's pretty bizarre how well he has shot it out there. Wolf played great last night. He has a lot of length at 6'5", and that helps him get to the hoop and get some shots off.

Hutty and Anderson were great inside. Hut's shot has looked so much better at the free throw line. The three even looked pretty smooth.

I think this might be a benefit that Wolf, Duax, and Taylor got some extra run last night. If we are going to have the depth, we should probably utilize it more. Especially since Born has been off so much. Heise could also probably use a few more minutes off.

Seems like a theme with our offense. Remember everyone stand around and watch AJ have to try to force a shot?
If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

Interesting thing with this, Jake said post-game that Mike has been shooting A LOT of 3s in practice and on his own. Even though he doesn't shoot them in game often, when given the space in game to shoot them, good chance he'll make the other team pay!

Nice to see Landon take advantage of some minutes. Would like to see him more in games when the shots aren't falling at a rate we'd like.
