Probably closer than it should have been, but I suppose a win is a win. Rough night for a Ty, glad the guys picked him up.

Really tough sloppy game but a win is a win at this point. I didn't think the defense was near as good as it was against Bradley. We allowed a ton of easy looks inside and Bonsu is brutal matchup down low. Hutty just doesn't use his height well at all down there but he still ended up with 20. Trey had a really solid run for us and Ben made some good plays throughout the game. Winning a game where Tytan was pretty non-existent and Max didn't do much of anything either is huge.

We're 120 spots better in metrics than the 22-23 team, 80 spots better than 18-19, 60 spots better than 20-21, 15 spots better than last year and right on par with the 21-22 league title team.
The only team in recent memory that was clearly better was 19-20.#MACtion

Credit the win to the coaching staff for telling the refs to check for the hook and hold when it was tied at 59. Missouri State had all the momentum at that time, and that turned into a 4-point play for us. Trey was due for a big game, and we certainly needed it. Hopefully his ankle doesn't tighten up the day after. Tytan will be fine, but obviously the hair needs to be changed back.
You can also tell that Cael is trusted - did he come out the last 10 minutes? Goes to show the value that older players have in college basketball.

Tytan may be the best player we’ve had since our last dance run that isn’t currently playing in the NBA.

Question on the hook and hold call. If Missouri State would not have called a timeout and instead play would have continued without stoppage for the next 3-4 possessions, would the officials have been allowed to review that call? Just curious if that timeout potentially cost MSU the game.
