Seeding as of right now and we were at 6. If we had to play on Thursday, sign me up for that setup all day every day. We would play Evansville, Murray, and then Bradley, Valpo, or Indiana State before the championship.

Obviously stuff will change a bit over the next week, but that would probably be ideal in the event we have another misstep before the tourney.

I think our only realistic shot at 6th would be to lose to ISU, beat Drake and have Indy State or UE beat Valpo which neither is likely.

I believe the most likely scenario for the final day of the regular season would be if we beat ISU we are playing for a bye or 7th at Drake and if we lose to ISU we are playing for 7th or 8th at Drake.

I had a hunch so I looked it up and I was right.

We have been significantly better as the 6 seed at Arch Madness than the 3 seed.

As a 6-seed: 4-3 (won at least one game every time)
As a 3-seed: 0-4

As the 6 seed we have been the lower seed in every game. As the 3 seed we have been the higher seed in every game.

If we win out, we can't play Thursday. If we spilt, all sorts of weird stuff would have to happen to avoid Thursday.

On the flip side, win out and Bradley beats Murray and we're the 3 otherwise it's the 4/5. Just so disappointing we couldn't take care of business yesterday and put ourselves in the driver's seat for the 2.

I will say, Southern is a really bad matchup for multiple teams. I guarantee you Belmont is hoping that Drake beats them on Thursday. SIU is the only team to hold them to less than a point per possession in conference play, and they did it in Nashville. It sucks that we lost this game when we had the power that we had, but truly we still control the most important things. Win 2 games and make your way to St.Louis needing to win 3 games in 3 days.

Southern has actually been better than us defensively in league play. House missing a bunch of time just killed them because he is the offense.
