Well... it was a win and Coach Jake has another 20 win season.

16 out of 20 twenty win seasons. Virtually everyone im the league would take that level in a heartbeat. Do not take Jake for granted.

Way to close it out in the final minutes, Panthers! Keep grinding!

Too close for comfort. But a win is a win. Leon had some great moments but him and Max need to hit their wide open threes to even stand a chance to win the next three. Trey was great again, carried us at the end just like he tends to recently. Tristan was huge as well to winning this. We'll see how tomorrow night goes, if we keep defending at a high level we always have a chance.

Survive and advance. Just gotta keep winning. Doesn't have to be pretty. Probably should've guessed Evansville was gonna throw everything at us.

A 6 vs 11 game should not be that close. Same as a 2-7 & almost as easy as a 1-8, but both of those have a higher seed coming in with a lay-off vs a team that just played and won on the floor.
              Our shooting is a mystery.
Not a real impressive outing vs a team that had lost 24 times already this season. (I guess I'm not on the bandwagon.)
              Goal one (winning) accomplished.
Goal two (keeping starters fresh) ominously fell short. The starters played 171 minutes - rested 29. Trey played 39, Will played 35.

Trey, Will, and Tristan were huge last night. Leon was great defensively, but he really needs to find that stroke outside. Max does too.

AJ Casey is a heck of a player. I'm still not sold that he can catch the ball turn around and shoot a 3 in under .6 seconds, but it was impressive nonetheless. I was also less than impressed with the refs giving Hundley a 4 point play on a 3 where he clearly just kicked his leg out with Benny running by. The refs really need to get better at identifying that.

                On to the next.

We would all love to win every game handedly, but as you can see by even this Belmont-Drake game right now, anything can happen in March. All that matters at the end of the game is having more points than the other team does.
