  • Who are we rooting for???

I was following the other Valley scores tonight and wondering: which Valley teams should we rooting for and against?

Part of me thinks that if Creighton or Bradley rack up one or two more losses we won't have to worry about them sneaking out an at-large bid...Same with Wichita St...Thoughts?

IMO Wichita peaked at the WRONG time, bad for them, bad for UNI, and bad for the Valley. IMO two more losses without a title in St. Louis and they can hang up their dancing shoes.

The Wichita situation is weird. They decided to take a late foreign trip and went on a tour of Canada in September. So if you look at it they have been playing since the middle of August.

This means that they have already played a full regular season, the problem is that there are still 7 weeks in the REAL season. The reason that they were so much better than everybody else early was because they had been playing for 6 weeks longer and had everything put together.

Now Turgeon is calling out players on his post game and call in shows. Its turning ugly down there. Cousinard missed the game last night, Ogirri is throwing up every shot he can find. The wheels have come off and its just getting worse and worse all the time.

UNI is rumored to be going on a summer trip this year. They last went to Aussie the summer before their first NCAA tourney in over a decade. NCAA teams can go on an international trip once every four years. This year is the first year UNI could do that since 2003.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

I am fine with that as long as its in July or August. Turgeon's mistake was deciding to make the trip in September. If we go in July, everybody gets a couple of months away from basketball and are refreshed and ready to go come October.

Do you remember what time of year it was last time?? I seem to think that it was early August...

It was late July, early August last time. Wichita State went to Canada I believe over Labor Day weekend. They should have had all of Sept. and half of October to rest. At least I THINK that's what happened. Could be wrong, and I don't have the time to look it up.
