#4 Bradley (19-10, 10-8)
#5 UNI (18-12, 9-9) W
UNI finally figures out how to limit Ruffins shots and Bradley shoots a season worst from 3-pt land early. UNI breaks out to an early 12 point lead. Bradley comes back in second half with a flurry of 3s but not enough in the end as E-coleman leads UNI and FTs seal the deal for the Panthers 19th win and 3rd straight.

Saturday 3-3-07 SEMIFINALS!
#1 SIU (24-5, 15-3)
#5 UNI (19-12, 9-9) W
Shaws 2 early fouls sits him, Coleman gets hot early. Falker scores 13 1st half points and Mullins ships in 6. Halftime score 31-31. 2nd half storm by Salukis, puts them up 7. Looks bleak for Panthers, but 6 bench points from Viet and Brown on 3s caps a 13-2 run and the Panthers lead by 4 with 6 minutes to go! Stout is hindered by foul trouble in the 2nd half and Egleseder is forced to work with Koch and Coleman down low. Egleseders 7 pts and 4 boards are good enough to keep UNI in it. Tatum keep the dawgs close with a couple 3s but the Panthers win in thrilling final minute 56-51.
Coleman 21 pts 13 Rbs 1 Block 3 Assists
Stout 7 Points 12 rbs 3 blocks in 25 minutes

#2 Creighton (20-10, 13-5)
#3 Missouri State (22-9, 12-6)
A hard act to follow the 1-5 game, but MSU and CU do not disappoint. Someone forgot to tell Dana Altman that Birds usually can't eat Bears and Bears eat birds for mid-day snacks. Missouri State pounds Creighton early and Funk's shot does not fall in the first half giving him only 4 pts. A see-saw battle that features 9 lead changes, and 11 ties throughout the game sees Missouri State pull away in the final 4 minutes with a mini 7-0 run and the ensuing bombardment of the MSU rally cry song that is so annoying by their pepband (everyone knows what im talknig bout!) SUNDAY MARCH 4th MVC CHAMPIONSHIP!
#5 Northern Iowa Panthers (20-12, 9-9)
Before tourney RPI of 74, SOS 78
Last 10 (5-5) (includes tourney games0
#3 Missouri State (23-9, 12-6)
Before Tourney RPI of 34, SOS 44
Last 10 (8-2) (includes tourney games)
A classic rivalry between MSU and UNI as they have met up in each of the last 3 tourneys! UNI 2-1 in those 3 meetings.
UNI split with the Bears during the regular season 1-1 with the road team winning both games by under 5 points. MSU always travels well and the Bears will be as annoying as usual with their "hick"like bush league bash talking. unigriff, pantherclaw, merkpanther, #1pantherfan, uninisg, joecool and joecool Sr., Marc Wigim, TC, and many others show some class and just show them the Eric Coleman sign, and they all run away screaming AHHHHHHHHHH!
Upon entering the arena circle, the loud speaker blaring to Summer of 69 and Fergielicious followed quickly by the Bear Cry Chant from the pepebandwhich is the most annoying chant in all of college sports. Luckily a strong U-N-I chant overrules the annoyance across the way. A strong showing of Purple and Gold and RED (Bradley) and Black (WSU) are in our corner. unigriff puffs his purple hair and turns to merkpanther and pclaw and states "i got chills, that are multiplying! THIS IS F-ing ELECTRIFYING!" They laugh at unigriffs dorkiness and proceed to stand for the national anthem.
Then the fun begins!
A see-saw game on CBS keeps the commentators guessing on whats happening next and whether NIU or SMS will take the next big shot! THey take a good 30 minutes to finally realize they have been saying Aelegeba all game long in different tongue every time!
Coleman and Stout have huge games, and Brooks makes important Free throws. Ahearns 3s cripple UNI and Bilyea gets a ton of calls from Mr. Higgins and Mr. Clean. Hollywood Hinson gets T-ed up and at the buzzer...4 teams will be in the NCAA tourney from the MVC. (Score was not available at press time)
