Anyone know when they go on sale?
I'll still be a student but have decided to buy a pair of tix next year and wondering when that takes place. What are my chances of getting chair back seats?

I'm assuming not for a while.

You do understand that to get season tickets at a decent price you have to become a member of the Panther Scholarship Club right? Actually, can you buy season tickets if you're NOT a member of the PSC?

I haven't paid this year's pledge amount yet, but I have some time and I was told that if I pay it, I will be guaranteed my same seats next year. If I increase my pledge, there COULD be a possibility of getting different, better seats, but I'm fine with mine. Since my pledge money isn't due yet though, I'm assuming that they won't know about season tickets for a while. They need to know the schedule before they print any sort of tickets.

PSCers, is this info correct, or am I off my rocker?

If you are under 30 and a member of the PSC (which I am both) season tix are half price.

I think PSC members could take away seats from those who buy season tickets without joining the PSC. I believe that non PSC ticket holders are not guaranteed the same seats each year.

Jman you need to pay at least a portion of your plege by August(?) in order to get member benefits for the year (including season tickets)...
If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

Now as far as not being able to get bb season tickets at all if you are not a member I suppose that could come to pass, but there could also come a point where even PSC members cannot buy season tickets if the MC is sold out to season tickets.
It's bumped up to a $20 discount per ticket if you buy season tickets for 2 or more sports.....which definitely adds up. For example, my family of 4 purchased season tickets for football, volleyball and men's basketball so all totaled we saved $160 off of season tickets. We get 2 youth tickets for football and volleyball so they don't count.

Once you are a season ticket holder, regardless of PSC status, you are guaranteed right of first refusal on your seats from the previous season...

How often will they reshuffle things seating wise in the MAC?

I believe all of the priority seating information said they reserved the right to entirely re-seat after the third year.

MBB Season ticket info has been released. Holy Crap!

That's quite a hike. Definitely more than I expected...however, it's time for us as a fanbase to pony up. We asked for the Iowa game to be moved to the McLeod...they responded. We asked for a more attractive home schedule...they responded. We are getting UMass, Nevada, Iowa, and a to be announced Bracket Buster game, in addition to the 9 MVC games games as part of this package. Get ready to have some fun. Get your seats today!

Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

I also believe that the number of games is indicated incorrectly. I thought the Courier said that there would be 17 home games next season:

                      5 Non-Conference: Iowa, Nevada, Bracket Busters, Loyola-Chicago, D2/3
3 Exempt Tourney: UMass, Northern Illinois, TBD
                      9 MVC games

That would equal 17 home games, plus 2 exhibition games, correct? The season ticket info states that there are only 4 non-conference games.

This is honestly overpriced, IMHO. They are making it less and less affordable for young/middle class families to afford season tickets. $290 x 4??? Then, they charge MORE per game for season ticket holders than a person buying single tickets for all the games??? 16 regular season games at $15+ Iowa @ $35 is $275?? Charging over and above face value is not going to fly in Cedar Falls next season. WE DIDN'T FILL THE PLACE UP ONCE THIS SEASON!!!

                          UNI05Alum-

If you throw in the 2 exhibition games for half price ($15/2 games), that gets you to the $290 number. If this season ticket price is for 17 regular season games + 2 exhibition games, then I think it's a fair price. If it's only 16 games, then I don't see the logic in charging the $15/game price for the exhibition games (which you would have to do to get to the $290 figure). However, when you look at the schedule, there is only 2 games (and possibly 3, depending on who is brought in for that 3rd exempt tourney game) that will feature a team that was not in the top 140 RPI. And outside of Northern Illinois (who now has Ricardo Patton as coach), the worst non-conference RPI team UNI faces in the McLeod Center is Loyola-Chicago with an RPI last year of 101.

UNI will have a summer trip to work out some kinks and brings in an exciting brand of basketball. IMO, the entertainment value is going to be well worth the price of admission. If you are Under 30, get your Panther Scholarship Club membership, b/c even at the lowest level of the PSC ($100-150), you will be saving big money this year with your season tickets.

If you are an Under 30 PSC member and buy football and BB season tix:

                          Football: $120/90 normal....$60/48 Under 30 discount
                          Basketball: $290 normal......$145 Under 30 discount
                          PSC pledge: $150 lowest level
Total: $410/380 w/out pledge....$355/$343 with PSC membership and discout
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. if you are under 30 you can also get into the PSC for half price. ($75 gets you in at the $150 level) That is a huge savings for young families. 4 tix @ $145 = $580 + $75 PSC membership equals a grand total of $655 for a young family of 4. Pretty reasonable I think with the quality of b-ball and great seats.

Has the BracketBusters game been officially announced as a home game?? That is where I think that the 16 or 17 debate is.

I have no problem with the price. There aren't a ton of things you can do to get 17 nights of fantastic entertainment for less than $300. I think a lot of people would have a BIG problem if the schedule wasn't as good as it is. I hope that we end up with another good team for the last tourney game...
