I thought the Drake game had a good crowd. The student section was 99% full and a lot of people were standing around the top. Illinois State looked rough.

I like the 8pm start. I live 3 hrs away and really want to see this team live. I thought I wasn't going to get a chance yet this year but 8pm start may just give me that chance.

Saturday night game, decent weather, you shouldn't see an empty space of 18 inches anywhere in that building...

There will still be 50-100 empty seats in the middle chair back sections on both sides.

I counted 55 empty seats on the middle east side chair back section during the WSU game.

BUT.... they are sold. Still a problem but not as big of a problem as empty seats that you didn't even have a chance to sell all of them because you gave the public 1-2 days notice.

I'll blame those 55 on the weather. We had what seems like a really diehard fan on this site who admitted they weren't going to the game because of not taking a baby out in the bad weather. And I imagine that some of those 55 were seats for older folks who weren't going to take a risk. It wasn't that 55 people with season tickets just didn't care.

the real question is are empty SOLD seats more valuable to the program or empty non paid seats?

(Now i think we are all on the same page regarding the company seats but if you have 55 seats that were purchased scattered around the arena and for some reason people can't come, you can't really gripe about it). Not like those people intentionally tried to skip out. They aren't you know who.
