  • Black Out

    Haven't saw this posted...

I've heard the SIU game will be a blackout.....

I'm on record as being againt "Color Outs" of any kind except purple (which every game should be 100% purple) and that doesn't change here...especially since the football team got rid of black from the uniform last year.

I love how our school decides go with with a "color out" of a color against a school that uses the color heavily. Gold Out vs South Dakota State, white out vs ODU (who tries to do white outs at pretty much every home game), etc... SIU uses black pretty heavily as a football color.

I hope someone is able to prove this rumor wrong.

    Re: Black Out

Maybe we are trying to get more Hawkeye fans to come? I mean seriously, why don't we just say "wear your favorite Hawkeye shirt to the dome that day?" How about an ISU color out against Southern Utah?

It that was the case, it would be a "Be Bold, Wear Gold" out.

I believe ODU beat us in the McCloud center for the white out.

                  That is correct.

The ODU game was off the hook!

And for all the pre-game griping on here about it, I think it looked pretty dang cool and worked out great.

                      Re: Black Out

I have no problem with a black out. A lot of my UNI shirts are black.

Boy... I really am thankful that most of the stuff we've had to complain about in the last week have been completely unrelated to our team's performance.

                        Opinions Please

I know it's more of a PR or Troy thing but what do you think? I can't find a windbreaker in my size so this will have to do.

I might ask PR to start wearing his again. It needs to make an appearance... it's been a while.
