  • Indiana State vs. Ball State

ISU blue is giving Ball State a game...on ESPN3..up 27-20 with 3 left in the game. ISU blue has been up most the game. Made a huge 4th and 2 play on their own 46 with 5 minutes left to keep the drive going tied at 20-20. I stand by my comments...

I keep telling ya peeps...as a coach, former player and superfan...Iowa is not that good. They will struggle mightily in the little BIG. They will only get Ws because of their pathetic schedule...and I they won't blow anyone out. They can't. ISU will get better throughtout the year...thats the trademark of all PR teams. Book it...ISU wins by 3.

            Victory for U-N-I!

Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

I said it last week, the trees are good this year. They will be a tough out for anyone.

That new(ish) coach has them heading in the right direction.

Side note, has anyone in the MVFC lost to an FCS opponent yet?

no. The conference was 8-0 against the FCS after two weeks, and are 4-0 so far this week (well, that counts NDSU's win over "Incarnate Word", not sure if they are officially FCS yet or still in transition)

tonight, MSU hosts North Dakota (scoreless early in the 1st), SIU hosts SEMO (Salukis up 7, early 1st), SDSU travels to Southern Utah, and the biggest FCS test for the MVFC so far this season is South Dakota at Montana.

I see NDSU is pulling a Montana and taking on some tough games ...Incarnate Word never even heard of them let alone that they even had a football team.

Is that kinda like playing the school of deaf and blind ?

SIU's QB is the brother of former Panther Anthony Ionnotti. His brother was a big QB, but didn't play.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

                        ESPN.com had it as:

                        Inc 0
                        NDSU 58

I guess the Bison are taking on entire corporations now.

Well they are people you know, now. Shouldn't they also have the rights and freedoms to step on gridiron?

Interesting outcome. I saw most of Ball State's game with Iowa. Ball State has some skill players and DBs that will cause problems for their opponents. That's Indiana State overcame that is a sign they have more talent than many of us would think.
