    to panthers to the bone

I read your part of the thread. I actually start the beat really slow, then speed it up a little to a nice beat and keep it steady. the only time I speed it up is right as the team is coming out right before we bust into the fight song. Take a listen monday night and youll notice it a bit better. See yall monday at the WSU game. ILL BRING MY FOG HORN haha just kiddin. take care. -Hoagy

..............A quick question though. I have stated in the past that I really liked the live drummer leading the fans in clapping their hands before the game. The natural thing is to speed up, but is there any way there could be just a steady beat that doesn't speed up? The reason I say that is b/c by the time a few seconds of speeding up have passed, everyone around me was just clapping to be clapping b/c we couldn't follow the beat. .....................

Drummer, you do a great job and all I have to say is keep it up. I love when you do the drums and everyone starts clapping.

You are doing a great job.

        Thanks for the response Hoagy.

That night I couldn't really hear the band very well b/c of my seats. People must have kept speeding up their clapping despite the drum. Great job, and keep it up!
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

to #1 panthers fan and Panthers to the bone

to #1 panther fan, thanks a ton for the great comments and for supporting panther athletics

to panthers to the bone: thanks for the comments, it sounded like you were sitting next to the band, which aren't very great seats for hearing the band. All of the band plays forward, which directs all of thier sound that way, so most of the sound goes straight across from us. The drums are multi directional though, thats why if you sit close to the band, most of the time you'll hear mostly drums. The same exact thing happens at football games. If you ever sit "home side" you can't hear the band much at all unless you sit exactly right next to them, but if you sit across from them in the dome, you can hear them very well. The dome is not a very good acoustic setting as you can probably tell. Anyway, thanks again, and hope to see you all MONDAY NIGHT!. peace. -Hoagy
