Yeah - I was proud of my fellow Spencerian.

As I recall, he and Josten were both on the floor for a time, and it allowed Josten to get in rhythm and take a couple nice shots...

I hope he gets to play a lot more in the coming games and we can move JJ to the 2

I agree. He has been doing very well lately and right now, more playing time might be good for the whole team.

I agree, he seems to get better each time out on the court. I'd like to see what he can do with more extensive time at the point.

How could it possibly hurt to get him more minutes?

His energy is contagious. He's a guy who knows he has to earn his time out there, and I think he's done exactly that in the past couple of games with his hustle and energy off of the bench.

I don't really know what it is about him, but he just seems comfortable at the point where no one else really does

                    Re: Haak

He impressed me again tonight. I also liked the way he played against Indiana State. He seems to have a good feel for the game. Give him a shot. What do we have to lose? This would get JJ more time at the two, which is where he belongs (0 assists tonight).

                      Re: Haak

Haak needs time on the floor. He will be our most experienced point guard next year if he gets the time now. I also think we should have Dunham running the point and move JJ to the 2 permanantly, or at least a majority of the time. Dunham at least looked to shoot a few times yesterday, but most of the time he looks hesitant. Let Kerwin or Brian set the offense from the top and get JJ back to running off screens for his shots rather than putting JJ at the top.

After last night, I'm not so sure it's a smart idea to keep forcing the point on Dunham last night. How many turnovers did he have?

                          Re: Haak

box score says 1 TO for Kerwin.... i dont like dunham at the point either. i also dont like coleman helping bring the ball up the court vs a press. 3 TOs there.

I think Haak should earn some quality PT on Sunday (10-15 Minutes) with his play last night. If he continues to play well it would be a big lift for our team.

                            Re: Haak

I think Haak has shown he deserves to play just as much as Dunham. He has been as effective, with less minutes. A lot of people are pretty high on Kerwin, but he has done zero to impress me. Yes, he is a freshman, yes he may have been a shooter in h.s., but his play this year compared to Haak's has been at the exact same level. Right now, this team needs a point guard who can handle the rock in short increments to give JJ a rest. What they are getting with Dunham is a 2-3 who might have the ability to hit a tough shot, but isn't quite there mentally.

Seriously? Only 1? I could swear by almost at least 3-4 bringing the ball up the court. Hmm . . .

I was high on Kerwin, still am, but I need to remember he's a freshman. Jake does too.

He's done zilch this year and he's been given PLENTY of opportunities to do something. We have plenty of guards. I think it's time to decrease his playing time significantly and get Travis, Carlton, and Jared out there along with giving Haak a shot. Kerwin can still get a few minutes, but I think 16 is too many at this point. Not when he's as passive as he is.

I like his unselfishness, but there's a line.
