  • Bears May Have Their Man

Missouri State looks to have their new head coach. He will be in town for a final interview Tuesday and the school has preliminarily set a press conference for Wednesday.

    Their Man is (Drumroll Please...)
    Purdue Assistant Cuonzo Martin

Bear fans are patient, they will have no problem with a first time head coach...

If he is the guy, I predict now that they will be searching for another head coach 5 years from now!

How does anyone know how good a coach will be if he has only been an assistant?

I know you didn't make this post as a direct correlation to us but remember it when you're giving a glowing prospectus for UNI next season. We finished a hair in front of them, lose 45% of our scoring and all of our leadership and we are hoping for more success because we'll have a "true" PG starting -- either one who played sparingly this season or another that won't have played a collegiate game in 18 months and had 4 starts to his name prior to that.

A lot can happen in an offseason that could change things.

Aren't Drake and IlSU prime examples of why we don't really know anything until the season tips off?

I think the jury is still out on Jank...he stepped into the best job by far. The Redbirds looked unbeatable, yet they also looked horrible allowing us to go on a 17-0 run and Drake a 20-2 run.
