on espn.com, self-proclaimed Bracketologist Joe Lunardi has his first installment of his 2005 NCAA Tournament Field. He only has 1 Valley team in the dance - Wichita State. Not that clowns like Lunardi know anything anyway. In October, he predicted in his bracketology that Missouri would get a number 1 seed. We all know how that worked out. It's ass clowns like Lunardi that every year predict 1 berth from the Valley, and every year the Valley gets two.

As long as Howard plays for WSU, I don't see them as league champs. He's too much of a whiner and can't control his emotions. If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

Jonny - first off what the hell are you doing here? Don't you make enough enemies at Hawkeye Report you got to branch out to the little Panther board and post your crap?Originally posted by Jonny_RogersJoe Lunardi, the guy who correctly predicted 64 of the 65 selected teams in 2002 and 2003
Secondly Lunardi sure didn't pick 64 of 65 preseason. Anybody can pick up a newspaper without following college bb at all and predict 60-65 of the NCAA teams on the day before selection Sunday, big freaking deal.GO PANTHERS!

Surely you will grace us with you Selection Sunday predictions next year. I'm sure we'll all be looking forward to it.

I think the point here is, why only one Valley team? That hasn't happened in several years, and there's no reason I can think of to predict that next season will be any different. Lunardi shows a lack of respect for the best mid-major conference in the country.__________________

You forgot guys. Johnny is the next head basketball coach at Iowa and is the greatest thing since sliced bread. We should all be ashamed of ourselves for holding an opinion different of his."I told my team that we just played a very athletic team (ISU), but we're going to play a much better basketball team (in UNI).'' Lunardi
Jonathon,
Yes, Lunardi may have picked 64 of 65 right when his last installment came out a couple days before Selection Sunday. Not to hard to predict the field then. Maybe you didn't read my post correctly, Jon. In the preseason, he picked Missouri to be a number 1 seed. Tell me something Jon, how did that work out? Was Missouri the number 1 seed in the St. Louis Regional? I forget. The point is Jon, that preseason predictions don't mean ****. Especially from Lunardi. Actually, anybody that gets published pretty much. One publication had Georgia Tech picked 7th in the ACC and being 1 and done in the NIT. How did Georgia Tech's season go Jon?

I had no idea that the Hawkeyes were still fielding sports teams. As you all know, Iowa is the Panther state.Originally posted by GonzoCatJonny - first off what the hell are you doing here? (1) You are assuming that I am a huge believer in preseason predictions. When I think of preseason predictions, I think of Iowa being picked 7th in the Big Ten in football for 2002 and then being ranked #3 IN THE NATION in the final regular season poll. Oh yeah, I love preseason predictions. What the heck are you talking about???
(2) For a guy who seems not to care in the least about preseason predictions, you sure did let Lunardi's preseason predictions get under your skin. Tell me, why is that? I'll be awaiting your response.
