Heading down the homestretch now let's finish with a strong kick.
Dana Altman brings his Bluejays to Cedar Falls for the first time since 1997-98 having lost the last game he coached against us. For the Panthers, the win in Omaha was a significant accomplishment, but it will mean nothing if we give it back on Sunday. Creighton is and always will be Creighton and the guys had better be prepared for the team that was picked to win the league to come in and battle on our home floor.
I like the fact that w have an extra day of rest and prep for this game. Creighton will play 10-11 players and try and force the tempo. I expect this game to be as close as the last three games we have played and certainly as tough as the last two home contests. I have faith that the guys can do what they must and come out with a W.
Need to continue to play good team defense, particularly against the three ball. Handling their pressure and not giving up easy baskets will also be a key. On offense, we need to continue to move the ball for good shots and get the big men involved or at least make Creighton have to defend them honestly to open up the outside. Identify the defense being shown and make the Bluejays play defense.
Hopefully the title of the thread is an omen, hope that we will see you (and lots more) at the McLeod on Sunday.
GO PANTHERS!!
