The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

Heh, Taco Bell Arena. I don't know what it is, but Taco Bell and Idaho do not seem to go together...

A small part of me kind of hopes that we don't play in KC or Minnehaha, I don't know if I could handle another night partying with Billy "white shoes" Johnson!

I've heared that the NCAA is going to try their damndest to keep all teams close to home - lowering travel costs. It makes sense, but is that accurate? If so, Minneapolis or KC would be a no brainer, right?

I touched on this a little bit here:

How do the Arenas in Dayton and Boise get to host games, they are small arenas both around 13,000 and are old, not to mention they are in Dayton and Boise. I don't see how Wells Fargo in Des Moines can't get games. The state is more than willing to move state tournaments to do so.

Des Moines is afraid that if they hosted tournament games that Jeg's crew (I like the sound of that) would break things in hotel lobby's because when one of them is walking through the turnstile doors the other one presses the emergency stop button causing the person in the door to freak out and manually push the door open breaking the door and the cieling tiles above the door. My bad...I shouldn't have pressed that button.

Dayton is in real good with the NCAA for whatever reason.

Dayton gets games b/c they host the 'Play-In Game' every year on Tuesday of the opening week. It's also the best venue for NCAA Tourney games that I have been to. I liked Milwaukee, but it's hard to deny that Dayton was more of a basketball facility, than an all-purpose type. Not a bad seat in Dayton's arena.

Knowing the story behind it, it was fun watching them tape up the door the next morning so that no one would try to walk through it. Although they didn't look too happy while they were doing it...

Did you read this somewhere, or is this just your assumption? I would LOVE Minneapolis.

I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere. I took some liberties in expounding on what I thought might happen, but that was the feel I got from reading some of the things I did see. I'll try to find that article.

I have heard people say they will try to put more teams closer to home but have not seen a direct link to someone from the NCAA or the committee saying this. I thought I also heard them saying they will not change it that much this year so would be interested to hear an interview this week and see if they say anything about placing more teams closer to home. They usually do interviews at some point in the week.
