    Will UNI win the Valley this year...

    Shocker fans sure don't think so.

    "Some Other Team" is beating us in their poll 85-14.

    I'm perfectly willing to entertain the idea that UNI might not repeat this year. The Valley is going to be very tough. If we don't win... I really don't want it to be WSU.

    Favorite comment from the thread: "It infuriates me how they continue to own us irrespective of the vast differential in resources."

    Sounds a little like our friends in Iowa City and Ames.

        who cares what Shocker fans think?
        or any other team board for that matter?

        If someone would have posted a poll going into this past football season about whether or not SIU would repeat as MVFC champions, I'm guessing PantherNation would have resoundingly said no.

          Because the shocker fanbase has a certain level of ridiculousness that not many fanbases can compare with.

          WSU has literally had one good season in the last 30 years, yet they claim to have some sort of superiority over the rest of the conference. Its pathetic and laughable.

            It's going to be a slow week. Just trying to spark some discussion. And as for the football poll, I would think SIU may very well be the favorite going into next season.

              If they still have a school, that is. Besides, how dare you not mention the mighty Bison of NDSU. Next year is their year!

                I would think preseason next year will look something like (way OT, I know)...

                1. SIU
                2. UNI
                3. Illinois State
                4. SDSU
                5. YSU
                6. MSU
                7. NDSU
                8. Indiana State
                9. WIU

                Spots 4-7 are really, really up for grabs, IMO...

                  Doesn't it seem weird not putting Indiana State last? I could see UNI being lower than 2. Does SDSU return many players?

                    SDSU loses a TON on defense and some key offensive pieces, couple that with what I feel is a program altering loss at Montana and I think the Jacks take a huge step backward.

                    That Montana loss will haunt that program for years, IMO...
