  • A disappointing stat....

In the last 5 years, #1 seeds are 40-0 in the first 2 rounds.

Which will only help us get more cred and recruits when we become the first to beat a #1 - I'm guessing an 8 or 9 hasn't beaten a 1 because they've been bubble teams from bigger conferences that didnt' deserve to be there in the first place and their flaws are exposed. Having a team like UNI, who is seeded about 3 spots below where they should be, sets the table perfectly for it to happen.
Give us a yell, HO! The purple and the gold
    Victory for U-N-I!

Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

UNI wouldn't be the first to do so. It just hasn't happened in the past 5 years.

I don't have time to look through the record book now, but I think it was a farily regular occurance for a 1 seed to lose in the second round before the past 5 years. By "regular occurance," I mean once every other year or so.

        Answer these for me...

Before 2010, when's the last time UNI won 28 games?
Before 2010, when's the last time UNI won 15 conference games?
Before 2010, when's the last time UNI was ranked in the top 20?
Before 2010, when's the last time a team won both the conference and the conference tourney in the MVC?
Before 2010, when's the last time a team won each game of the MVC tourney by 15 or more points?
Before 2010, when's the last time a team allowed less than 45 ppg in the MVC tourney?

        Need I go on?

That one is easy - 2009.

The rest I'm going with never, although it's possible someone has won each tourney game by 15+ before.

Ok, I guess I should have said in back to back years. My bad...
