I'm not sure why they have to use a plane at all. Apparently Cloud 9 doesn't move fast enough.

Re: Welcome home at the airport

Right now the plane that is scheduled to bring the team home is not scheduled to arrive in Oklahoma City until 11:30. Then they have to board everyone and get it ready to go again. The flight home is an hour to an hour and twenty minutes. Just a heads up.
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

Sorry if this isn't the right place for this questions.

I'm a bangwagon UNI fan...so I am not too familiar with the history of the program. Can anyone tell me who the old guy on the bench next to Coach Jake is? I tried to find him on the official roster with no luck. Thanks.

His name is Jim Berry. He coaches UNI in the 70's and 80's and was the coach during our transition to D1 in the early 80's. He is know a consultant for the team, and really means a lot to everyone in the program.

I'm sure someone has a better rundown of who he is, but that is the long story short.

Guys, it's still snowing pretty good here. They don't know how to handle snow here in OKC....could be a long night for the guys flight wise but I bet they don't mind

Are they still hoping to get out tonight? Bunch of us want to make the drive to the airport but I would rather them came on Sunday to the McLeod center for a nice welcome home.

Latest word is that they will get to Wloo at 130 or so assuming no further delays
