Just a quick note about the national rankings, UNI got 7 points in the AP (which I think is the same as last week) and we didn't get any in the coachs poll. Guess if you don't play for a week they forget about you.

What strikes me is that the conference is top heavy - looking at the W/L

The bottom 3 teams have 49% of the conferences losses, and the bottom 4 teams have 62% of the conference's losses coming into this week.

Honestly, that's a GREAT thing. When the Valley was getting multiple NCAA bids, there were some really horrendous teams at the bottom of the conference. Parity is great and all, but the MVC is MUCH better served having a few really good teams and a few really bad teams.

"Drake (6-4)- The Bulldogs couldn’t complete the Valley sweep of lowly Iowa, losing by 14 in Iowa City."

            That one made me smile.
Give us a yell, HO! The purple and the gold
            Victory for U-N-I!

Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

Completely agree - except it would be better that the teams at the bottom of the conference could have won a few more non-conf games to make the overal conference look better. Once we get into conference play, they can bottom feed all they like.
It's about time we make the McLeod LOUD!

right... we want some seperation in league play. Ideally we would want even the "bottom feeders" in conference play to have good non-con records.
"I think they're very good," Farley said of the preseason top 25 Hawkeyes. "But so are we."
