Do you mean like losing at Evansville and Southern like we did last year? Not that far fetched. Aces have us and MSU at home to finish, not hard to see them winning two. Drake finishes with SIU and Bradley, could easily get two wins there even if they have to play in Wichita on senior night.

We control our destiny. The Bradley home game is a must plus we have to have one of the two roadies. I think 9-9 will avoid Thursday, not sure 8-10 does it, and both UE and DU have decent shots at 9-9. We can knock UE down a peg with a win Wednesday, but it won't be easy or pretty and a loss puts us hard against a wall.

Craziest of all after I've said that, 3rd place is still a possibility if you look at MSU and ISUreds finishing schedules.

It is more likely that we end up in the 4-5 game (46% chance) as opposed to the 3-6 or Thursday games.

That is just not true. If we lose tomorrow we will probably be in 7th (tied for 7th). Not to mention 2 of our last 3 Valley games are on the road where we are 1-6. There's a decent chance 2 of 3 will be necessary to pull it off, and possibly all 3. The blog that mapped out the chances of each team finishing in each seed gave us a 29% of finishing 7th 8th or 9th. Its probably higher now with ISU Blue beating ISU Red tonight.

Most every game that has happened in the last week besides our game has hurt our chances. It would be nice if Bradley did us a solid tomorrow.

Exactly. Indiana State is now tied with us in wins. A win tomorrow puts us in a tie for 4th (and drops Evansville a game back), a loss means we are at best, in a tie for 6th if Drake loses, tied with Indiana State for 7th if Drake wins. We would be a game back of Evansville, Illinois State and Drake in the worst case scenario.

The good news is we control our destiny and Indiana State may have opened a door for us if we can take advantage.

But we must keep winning.

Worst case we are 8-8 and hold ALL multiteam tie breakers with it being highest RPI, call me Homer but I see 10-8, Mo st stumbling twice, take the 3 seed and get ready for the ARCH Madness to roll!

After tonight the picture will be much clearer. A win and we have a good shot at third. A loss and well I hate losing.
