They have both us and the hawks in right now. Iowa played isu in the NIT in 2003 or so and it was kinda cool to have a rematch.

Of course i hope we make it a moot point sunday.

They would have to win 4 in a row to get to the nit. Their rpi is like 120. No way they get in.

could end up with same record as UNI but in toughest conference, plus 4 wins vs. ranked teams.

plus im guessing it has something to do with top seeds getting home games. that would sell well in IC.

Not trying to get stuck up on one little detail but they've got 14 losses, UNI has 12 and can only lose one more.

It would be kind of funny if Fran and Company had to come back to the Mcleod after being so vehemently against coming back here ever again.

do you think we would draw well enough to host a game? i dunno what the attendance numbers usually look like for BCS schools. i suppose it depends if the NIT is considered a failure (northwestern) or a god damn miracle (iowa).

I'd just like to see us get at least one more home game, however it happens. I only made it over for one game after December 3rd (but at least it was the Creighton win), and I feel bad that I couldn't see more of this team in McLeod. Let's get win #20 tomorrow night, guys!

Iowa will not make the NIT. And if miraculously did, they'd be a terrible host. They can't draw well with games on the schedule that people know about...why would anyone expect they could draw on 3-4 days notice during spring break? Its irrelevant but on the off chance they did host I'd say 5,000 tops with less than 3K actually in the building.
