  • Tipoff!

    Why not?

I liked the starting lineups--I've never gone to a BB game in the dome, it was like being there.

Not exactly an impressive 1st half for the Panthers, 27-21 over DII for what, 2 years, Upper Iowa. Common guys, put together a good second half

After only leading by 6 at halftime, the Panthers have now started playing as they can and lead 51-27 half way thru the second half.

Consistantly bad shooting all around, whats the deal??? although another win ground out by the Defense, and coaching. Congrats to Mac and the guys on working hard for the win, albeit an ugly win, again, but a win none the less, 3-0 and going to Ames seeking 4-0, but we need to play MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better if we are going to beat the clones.

I guess the cheerleaders were in retro uniforms as well, that would have been a fun game all around.

I was there. They sold out and did not wear short shorts. It was so dead in there tonight. Couldn't have had more than 1200 people or so. Lackluster effort-it was pretty obvious they had been working on the clones all week, they will be much better on Tuesday Night.

im sorry, but you way underestimated the crowd that was there. yes, it was pretty quiet, but look at the team we played and it was not a very exciting game.

the annouced attendance was 3,800 i think, maybe wrong though

i would say 3,000 were at the game.

I could be wrong on the number, but man it felt like 1200.

If it was 3800, remember back 4 years ago when that was a great crowd and people were excited to have that many. Now we draw that for Upper Freaking Iowa!!

If lackluster effort means they worked on the clones all week then ISU's game against Iona must mean they really worked on the UNI game plan all week. JK

DII games are tough to get excited for no matter what, but right before ISU had to make things even more difficult. Good second half, but the shooting still has not been anywhere close to where we all know it could be. I'm so pumped Benny had a down game, because that almost always means an astounding game next time out (too lazy to statistically back this up, but following Mr. Ben as long as I have it certainly seems to be the case). Destroy the freaking Clones! Just for insurance someone should tell them the Big XII North football title is on the line. We'll win by 20 (sorry, but that just had to be said after yet another clone football debacle).

Usually season tix sales get reported as seats filled even if they don't show up. With corporate tix this usually means early on that actual attendance is much lower than what gets reported as attendance.

the cheerleaders did a great thing at the 8:00 time-out in the 1st half.

They took turns holding up the letters UNI in different areas around the court, and that section yelled out the letter. It was the loudest cheers for the whole game.

They should do that the rest of the games.

                            VERY GOOD CHEERLEADERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what did everyone else think about this?
Just for the record books, the anounced attendance was 3,862

Thought it was awesome! Said something last year that I wished they did this...now they are. Very very good idea!
