OTP's "Roundball Roundup"
-Final attendance number was 3,862. Very impressive and I sure hope it's a sign of things to come...
-Another encouraging aspect: despite being awful from the floor, we won. Our defense was able to keep us in the game, and we still gave our shot selection some thought. Good to see us sticking to our guns.
-Eric Coleman: BIG AND BAD.
-We'll be fine. If anything, I would say that this means we'll light up the boards on Tuesday night... usually teams shoot very well after a disastrous night from the floor in the previous game. Our gameplan is solid, and we have some genuine talent on this team.
-Oh, and to the two knuckleheads who told me to shut up last night? Go back and watch Iowa basketball on TV like I know you want to. If you are reading this, get over yourselves, and wipe your noses. They didn't have ONE positive thing to say the whole night... good riddance to fans like these.
-Eric Wedgeworth of UIU can thank the Mac's Maniacs for their efforts in getting him some game-time. The coach finally put him in midway through the 2nd half, and smiled and waved at us (this is what made those knuckleheads tell me to shut up, btw... apparently they've never been to a college basketball game)... "The Wedge" had 5 points in about ten minutes. Shoulda listened to us sooner, Coach... "The Wedge" is the real deal.
