Bradley needed nearly 40 points from Walt Lemon to get past Brooks McKowen and UIU, 85-83

I wouldn't read too much into it considering how early it is. Ford is a good coach, so if the talent is there the results will be too. Certainly noteworthy but in the end it doesn't affect anything.

Btw, when is the gargoyle being revealed?

Didn't Robbie Sieverding play after '93? I seem to remember him being on some of McD's first teams in the early part of this decade.

Yeah, that should be '03. He was on Weaver's last team and Mac's first two teams.

52 fouls, 75 FTs...gotta love the rule changes, should be a fun year to watch college ball.

should improve as teams learn how to play with the new rules (or should I say, rules actually being enforced).

85-66 final. As was said, 52 combined fouls (32 on them) 75 free throws (32-48 for us). No flow whatsoever. Still, we outmatched them and there wasn't a serious challenge even though the score stayed close for a while.

Tuttle with 21 points, 15 boards, 4 assists and 3 blocks, a beast
Washpun 18 points, 2 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks (on the same possession) 1 steal, a weapon
Mitchell 13 points, 3 boards, 5 assists, looked much better
Rank 10 points 6 boards, solid other than one attempted behind the back dribble on a break

In general a little better game as the youngsters seemed more comfortable, but as I said, absolutely no flow to get into this game so hard to know what was happening. Friedman had a tougher time as they were collapsing big inside-needs to make free throws (2-6), Buss looked better and wasn't quick on the trigger, Bohannon had 6 boards but needs to knock down his shots, Morgan looked more comfortable but didn't knock any shots down (3-4 free throws), Singleton looked huge guarding the UD guards

Washpun is going to be fun to watch, the alley oop he had was ridiculous. Tuttle is so fun to watch as hard as he works. This team could have some growing pains but I think will be there when it counts.

Also that is a good d3 team that won the Iowa Conference last year.
