What are the odds we lead the whole game and then let it slip away in the last 240 seconds?

I'm still fuming from the Southern game. Having a hard time getting excited for this one right now.

At least the Bears have had their fair share of frustrating moments. They also are going to be without Marcus Marshall and Keith Pickens, their leading scorer and their leading rebounder. They have talent but I just don't think they are ready to compete for a top spot in the Valley yet. Even with it being a down year.

          Time to move on.

I did my best to flush the Carbondale crumble. We should be fired up for this one. Still a lot that can be accomplished for this team in the league schedule and it starts right here.

I expect us to win big. This team is awfully good at home. We're going to figure out that Tuesday was an aberration. I still expect us to win 12 or 13 league games and be the 2 or 3 in StL.

Is anyone else not totally sold on Indiana State?

I'm not sold on Indiana State being the clear cut #2 team in the conference. Maybe that will change after the travel to Wichita tomorrow. I think we're pretty evenly matched with the Sycamores.

Use those fumes to GET fired up.

How do you think players and coaches feel? This consumes their lives and they are preparing to play at the same time, plus attending classes, plus attending PR events in town.

This group works hard. They represent UNI well. The next game on he schedule is the most important game of the year. Work on fixing issues, flush the loss, get excited about putting another in the "W" column.

That's how folks in athletics HAVE to live. What teams need is for fans to forget and get fired up about having a phenomenal atmosphere. McLeod Loud!

Your first part of your post is right on--players play and coaches coach.

The loss to Southern is the type of loss that makes it hard to "sell" our program to the borderline, fair weather, bandwagon jumper fans that we desperately need in the stands. The administration and marketing people were living the dream for this Saturday until the last 4 minutes happened against SUI. Much easier to promote a team on a roll--much harder to sell a team that just lost to a team in the 300's of the rpi and had been called a bunch of momma's boys, whiners and uncoachable by their coach.

Loyola could very easily be tied for fourth place after tomorrow. My God, this league is horrible.

After our horrible loss RPIForecast still likes us to be 13-5 and the only games we aren't favored in are Wichita and at Indiana State.

Looks like they sold a lot of tickets, should be interesting to see how many of them are used. I'll be there for this one. Good to see BCPanther back to his usual state, couldn't believe some of those posts from the other night! I myself am not back yet, that SIU game was a nightmare. If I was a player who actually invested blood, sweat, and tears into it I would be completely devastated after that one. Hopefully the guys can get back on track.
