And THAT makes me want to do thisOriginally posted by JCPanthersI am sure that some were just "borrowing" their pass from someone, but I guarantee that there are some members who are closet hawk fans and that their true colors come out when the Panthers and Hawkeyes play.
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

Panther AC I hate to call you a liar, but I know where my parents and grandparents sat, trust me they were up in the football stands until my uncle and father snuck down to chairs which were "reserved" and sat there. And then an addtional row of seats was later added for the parents, it was apparently "forgotten". I am not mad but I know they felt quite unappreciated seeing as how they are the parents of the students on the floor, and trust me when I tell you they had no assigned seats except up in the football stands Ill scan thier "tickets" and post them if you like so that I have a reference for my claim that they were in section G.Originally posted by Panther AC... on the seating situation. I saw all the parents who normally come to weeknight games (Jacobsons, McKowens, Viets, Jostens, etc.) sitting in chairs right behind our players seats. None of them ever sit in chairs directly behind the players for any other home games. Those seats are usually reserved for potential recruits and their parents. So despite an entirely different seating configuration for the game and apparently some confusion in who should sit where, it looks to me like the parents were accommodated by being seated right behind the players seats. What am I missing?
And usually the parents dont want to sit right behind the bench, you cannot see a thing form behind the team. Sit there sometime and see for yourself, its very hard to see anything at all from back there.
It was just strange that for every other game, the parents are taken care of and this game they were not, they had to go to a different door than usual, they had no official tickets, they had to sneak down to other seats. It just seemed off to me is all. But I am speaking from my opinion here, they said none of this. I have nothing against the athletic dept as I am sure most of the pressure for these mistakes came from above thier heads because of the statewide attention and attendence.Last edited by ejacobson; 12-07-2005, 05:49 PM.

Rumor has it, next time UNI hosts a big game, they are not even going to allow the chairs on the west side of court, its going to be all bleacher seating, they said they had too many incidents last night of people sneaking down and standing on those chairs. That will kind of suck if they do that, but i can also see there reasoning behind it. That was a good game last night, all though i am kind of disappointed after experencing that game in person, the rest of the panther games are going to seem like junior high games. I wish it was that packed for everygame, it was a sweet atmosphere, i hope more students come out to the games. I heard if attendence keeps growing, they are going to bring those trailer bleachers in for all the games, but we have to get more people there.

Bone you're taking the wrong route. Next time I see you remind me to explain how to get from dsm to the dome in the fastest time with no traffic problems ever.Originally posted by Panthers to the BoneI was more upset with the fact that I was on Hudson Road for 30 minutes and at the corner of Nebraska and 20-somethingth street for 5-10 minutes (and I got to Hudson Road at 6:15). The crowd/traffic control wasn't very good. People were walking kiddy-corner, and thus blocking traffic from all four ways. I could have turned right, with no traffic, but the traffic cop wouldn't let me. I was just very surprised. If I don't have a AC pass, I don't get a parking spot.
But like I said, it was all worth it!
GO PANTHERS!
