i can't believe his agent or him would ever have allowed that into a contract.....also wondering if his new contract w/ bradley has them responsible for paying all or part of it for geno.

I would hope UNI has some sort of clause similar for our coaches. Generally those buyouts are paid by the new school if they want the coach bad enough. If Jake or Farley ever got a BCS or bigger school job it would be nice if UNI got some sort of compensation.

Buyouts aren't unusual, but they are on this scale for a school this size. Kent State is doing so-so since Ford left, but a lawsuit like this is like hanging a giant "DO NOT COME COACH HERE" sign on the side of the arena.

If they had fired him would they have had to pay his remaining contract? I guess we should ask Bo Pelini.
