Creighton 1/11
Oh, and let me make this perfectly clear to you people: you go to UNI, NOT IOWA. The Hawkeyes and their fans do not give a crap if you remain "true to them" or some stupid self-fulfulling bullcrap like that.-OTP

Tough game, but I think that with the sting of last years last second shot still in the boys minds and getting to be in the home sweet dome...
UNI- 68
CU-54
I think the boys will pull away at the end again. They have really been closing out the games at in the second half.
GO PANTHERS!!!!

Creighton is a quality team even without Funk and this is a big rivalry game. UNI is playing at home and coming off some huge wins of late. I give the Panthers the edge in this one, but it will be a close, well played game.

Blue Jays 59Coach Whisenhunt 1/18/09. "There was never any complaints about not being named the starter, all he wanted was an opportunity and he took advantage of it. Kurt is probably one of the greatest individuals you'll ever meet. Kurt worked hard on a lot of things that a lot of times older quarterbacks aren't willing to do. That's a credit to his humility and his competitive drive, and the reason that we are here today in great part is what Kurt Warner has done for us."

Students- What is the feel on campus? Are the students going to show up in big time fashion? The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

Average at best is the feel I get. I will say that we get between 400-600 students. A huge improvement from the past, but nowhere near the 1700 or so that are registered as "Maniacs"
Side Note- Those students that joined just so they could sit on the floor at the Iowa game should be found, tarred and feathered, and never allowed to join the Maniacs again. (Stepping off soapbox)

Once I saw the Drake game was on I figured we were out of luck again. We all seem to be upset that UNI isn't getting the national attention, but what do we expect when they are playing fourth fiddle to Iowa, ISU and Drake in the largest market in their own state. I think it is pathetic that Mediacom chooses to play all these Drake games when Drake has done nothing of note since the 1960s as opposed to a successful program such as UNI. This is the 3rd week that UNI has been on TV somewhere other than Des Moines and no station locally has picked up the game. I cannot even get a radio station here that gets the games clearly once the sun goes down, so I have to listen on the internet.Originally posted by lightnin49I checked with Mediacom in Des Moines, and they will not be televising the game. Get the radio warmed up!
