Even though UNI played a dreadful game tonight, you have to give Bradley a lot of credit. They were the team ready, and they came out and played their game. They're a very dangerous team, and UNI just fell victim to them tonight. The Panthers are slipping fast, and are more than likely NIT bound. All I have to say is what a disappointment to the seniors if they don't make the Big Dance. Two weeks ago and this season was the most memorable in UNI Panther history, and now the future is looking very bleek. It's just real depressing as a fan to watch these kind of games that were never close from the start, and it just seems that nothing is ever going right. I feel bad for the seniors to go out on a game like this, but UNI HAS to rebound from this loss. I will be very disappointed if the Panthers go to the NIT, after a start that looked so promising. Coach Mac has to get all the guys together, and make some changes so we can be watching Panther basketball in late March. Someone's got to step up!!

motion seconded... where's the urgency? why do we walk the ball up the court with five on the clock and down a dozen?Originally posted by KaboomI'm sure that this has been discused several times...what's the deal with the offense. It is so frustrating to watch the shot clock go under 5, and then see Ben (bless his heart) chuck up a shot. It seems like we don't have a whole lot of ball movement. Thoughts?

Please tell me you are joking...without a doubt the 5 second call was his complete fault, why would our all star point gaurd pick up his dribble as soon as he broke the time line? Why wouldn't he just call a timeout? That is simply unacceptable for a point gaurd to do.Originally posted by bcrawfThe 5 second call was not Brooks fault, where is everybody else?? Not coming to the ball.

in the games i've seen, just haven't seen the set plays work as they have the past few years.. mvc coaches catching on?
win at SIU + one MVC tourney win = NCAA
lose at SIU + two MVC tourney wins = NCAA
lose SIU + lose first MVC tourney = NIT? last 4 in NCAA?
things could be worse... that LSU win is looming LARGE!Last edited by bigticket; 02-22-2006, 10:23 PM.

Ironically, bigticket's spelling mistakes bring up a good point. We need to be LOOSE at SIU/MVC. Honestly, I think we have played very tight ever since we were ranked the first time (minus the 1st Indiana State game).Originally posted by bigticketin the games i've seen, just haven't seen the set plays work as they have the past few years.. mvc coaches catching on?

Relax, let it all hang out and good things will happen - LOOSE. Play tight, like "we are supposed to win and I'm nervous that we MIGHT lose" and you will do just that.

How many times have we seen UNI have chances to improve in the standings of the MVC, and every time they come up short. This looks like a tired team. I know it looked good at the beginning of the season when they were winning all the time, but players can only play so much. You can't expect just 5 or 6 players to be able to play the whole game every game. The bench for UNI has to be more productive. UNI's probably going to need at least two more wins to have a good chance at the Big Dance. A loss at SIU and a loss in the MVC tourney, and I think the Panthers are NIT bound.

We played like s**t. Plain and simple. I don't know what is going on with this team. We have played like this the past three games. Suck ass for 5 min. Make a small run. Suck ass somemore. Make a small run. Suck ass for the rest of the game. Where is the team that beat LSU and Iowa? Somebody has to step up, get out of a slump, or whatever. It needs to happen now.
In reference to Brooks, he has been crappy pretty much all season except for 2 or 3 games. Tonight his head, along with the rest of the team's, was not there. He kept getting beat all night and thats why Brooks did not play much.
And also, when Crawford got hurt, it wasn't Brooks that stepped up. It was J-Lit. Any person can see that Little was the one that filled Crawford's shoes pretty well. Brooks just played like he had been playing the whole year. Average."If you want to bet against this UNI football team, go ahead. But, I'd be very careful."
