  • What happen to Coleman?

Anyone have the story on whatever happen to Coleman in the second half yesterday? I must have heard the same question a dozen times in the stands last night.

    GREAT Question!!!

We were all wondering the same thing in our seats. Mac said he wanted the best defensive team in there. BUT, those players were so tired, they could not have been the best defensive team at that time. They needed some rest and some inspired help.

I agree. I blame this loss on Mac. You may bash me but we really can't blame it on any of the players. I just don't see why he didn't put him in the game. Please someone give me an explination.

          MISSING PERSONS ALERT:

The police have announced a missing African-American male by the name of Eric Colamen. He is 6 feet 6 inches tall, has short black hair, and was last see at Saturdays semifinal game, UNI vs. SIU, wearing a purple Northern Iowa jersey and purple shorts, sitting on the Northern Iowa basketball players bench with 10 minutes left in the second half of the game. He also goes by the name, "Cookie Monster" and is very skilled at putting a basketball in a hoop.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Eric Coleman, please call 1-800-876-5353. Again 1-800-876-5353.

I hesitate to ? the coaching staff, but this was a very questionable decision looking from the outside. Coleman doesn't appear to be a suspect defender, and I'd have been looking for a spark at the offensive end. 40 points at the end of reg. is POOR. Enuf already with the we had to have the best defenders, you have to score too!

Totally OT, but that show used to scare the HELL out of my brother when we were kids! I used to tease him about it, too. Heh.

But he is still the Coach, His choice, does he owe us a explaination? Ask him I'm sure he will tell you.

                  You can apply?

I'm not sure the private source is going to pony up 350 g's for any of us.

                  Mac however has earned it.

Personally, I again will blame our "star" for the game getting to overtime. It's amazing that people give Jacobson so much credit for making clutch shots when he misses many more. Last night, there was no excuse for Jacobson taking a shot with THREE DEFENDERS IN HIS FACE AND OFF BALANCE when Crawford AND McKowen were both WIDE OPEN. I'm sorry, but I for one am getting a little tired of the last shots being taken by the same player EVERY SINGLE GAME and him flat out not getting the job done... Sorry, WAY off topic, but I needed to get that one out there.

Great missing persons post Panthers #1. My friend, unigriff, made the cookie monster sign for the Tournament. That was lol funny.
Coach Whisenhunt 1/18/09. "There was never any complaints about not being named the starter, all he wanted was an opportunity and he took advantage of it. Kurt is probably one of the greatest individuals you'll ever meet. Kurt worked hard on a lot of things that a lot of times older quarterbacks aren't willing to do. That's a credit to his humility and his competitive drive, and the reason that we are here today in great part is what Kurt Warner has done for us."

It's amazing how fans from the stands or from their TV sets can see things much differently than how the players and coaches see it from the floor. Both Mac and Benny said in the post-game press conference that it was a really great look for Benny.

I agree that losing stinks. But when did we become fans that had to find someone to blame after EVERY SINGLE LOSS???
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

Dont blame the player, it was an awful playcall. At the end of the game the ball should at least go thru BJ, but that wasn't even a play. It was a, "Hey take the ball Ben and pray like heck that you can dribble around and find an open crease to get a shot off in." Instead of run people around screens to get an open shot.

Coach Mac is a great coach and I'm glad he is OUR coach but I have no problem with people here questioning his moves, especially when he makes more money than 99% of the people on this board. I'm all for protecting players and not ridiculing them but I have no problem questioning coaching decisions. Macs a big boy, I'm sure he's questioned it himself. How many times have you all run that play thru your head? He's done it 100 times more.

If the Panthers would have won, would it have been a bad coaching move? Hindsight is 20/20. It didn't work out the way we wanted it to, but it doesn't mean it was the wrong or a bad move.
