The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

A couple articles from the local papers mention the UNI - UW game: http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/cbaske...70_umen14.html and http://blog.seattletimes.nwsource.com/huskyhoops/.

    Here the relevant parts:
Romar on what figures to be a tough game Tuesday night against a good Northern Iowa team: "That team is going to be a good team. We knew coming in we would have our hands full with Northern Iowa.''

Romar said he thinks the schedule is setting up perfectly for UW in that it opened against Pepperdine and its unique run-and-gun style, then had a game tonight in which it realized it will always have to stay focused, and then against UNI will get tested well.

"Now we are going to play an opponent in Northern Iowa that is well-coached and very disciplined and can shoot the basketball and is not going to beat themselves. It is a big challenge for this young Husky team.''

UNI has made the NCAA Tournament the last three years.

    And:
Otherwise, the Nicholls St result was similar -- youthful UW went virtually unchallenged, playing free and loose, facing no adversity.

That should change tonight. The Huskies (2-0) close the round-robin tournament against another purple-and-gold team, Northern Iowa (2-0), in what would be construed as a championship game if the pairings weren't prearranged. These teams represent the only unbeaten entries left. Tipoff again is 7:30 p.m.

The Panthers, impressive 83-58 winners over Pepperdine in Monday's first game, should provide a stern challenge for the UW. Well-coached, they shot 57 percent from the floor against the Waves and dominated the backboards, enjoying a healthy 41-18 rebounding advantage. They come off three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, same as the Huskies.

"We're going to have to put 40 minutes of basketball together for this one," Brockman said.

Hopefully like LSU last year, the Panthers are catching a young, talented team at the right time. I expect it to be close throughout...and a Panther victory.
...by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries. Yep, it's made with bits of real panther. So you know it's good."

I just can't wait for this game to start!!! Only 10 more hours, Go Panthers!!!!
Coach Whisenhunt 1/18/09. "There was never any complaints about not being named the starter, all he wanted was an opportunity and he took advantage of it. Kurt is probably one of the greatest individuals you'll ever meet. Kurt worked hard on a lot of things that a lot of times older quarterbacks aren't willing to do. That's a credit to his humility and his competitive drive, and the reason that we are here today in great part is what Kurt Warner has done for us."

Would love to see a big win tonight. Especially since I'm staying out late and have a dentist appointment early.
