Does anyone else find it so greatly fitting that Mac's first loss at ISU was to non-other than UNI?

I was upset that the students rushed the court, by rushing to court its like saying we upset ISU instead of pulling off a quality win over a team we should have beat

I was in the band at the game(right near where the teams and coaches came on and off the court) At the end of the game, Jacobson came out, and all the fans in the student section at the south end of the court came down and formed a human tunnel for them. we hook his hand and gave him high fives, BTW is kid is cute. then the UNI players came, man they look like they were tired. the cyclone players came and we just kinda stood there. then mac came, and i was like ohhh i wonder what's gonna happen, then one of the kids yelled hey MAC thanks for all you did here, then the tunnel erupted into applause. He didn't smile or say anything, but did shake a bunch of kids hands.
Oh, and let me make this perfectly clear to you people: you go to UNI, NOT IOWA. The Hawkeyes and their fans do not give a crap if you remain "true to them" or some stupid self-fulfulling bullcrap like that.-OTP

          That's neat, thanks for sharing.
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

Very neat, Very classy display by the students. I think Mac's non reaction was probably because he's fully drank the ISU Kool Aid.

"You put some dumb red bird, a Hawkeye, and a Panther in a cage, and who do you think is going to win? The Panther would clearly rip the other two to shreds, eat them for dinner (although it would be a small meal for the monstrous beast) and spit out their feathers to make a pillow!"

That's called "Game Face." Trust me, he was doing all he could to keep his emotions in check.

You don't break out the Purple and Gold on game days or look for special gifts and gadgets bearing the colors because you want to be seen among the loyal. Purple and Gold aren't colors you see---they're colors you feel. They run through your veins with a continuous roar.

I heard a lot of these video complaints at the game as well. I was in the student section on the West side and my friends are pretty short and couldn't really see so they watched the big screen. And all they'd show is that damn view from behind the bucket
"I think they're very good," Farley said of the preseason top 25 Hawkeyes. "But so are we."

With this victory over ISU, UNI has now won 18 consecutive non-conference home games in a row. Great performance by the Panthers now let's go get Bucknell and Iowa! Go Panthers!!!
Coach Whisenhunt 1/18/09. "There was never any complaints about not being named the starter, all he wanted was an opportunity and he took advantage of it. Kurt is probably one of the greatest individuals you'll ever meet. Kurt worked hard on a lot of things that a lot of times older quarterbacks aren't willing to do. That's a credit to his humility and his competitive drive, and the reason that we are here today in great part is what Kurt Warner has done for us."
