  • Up Next Southern Illinois Part 2

A new lineup and a 2 game win streak . How will they perform on the road now? Last game was a L at 56-53 at home. Southern plays well at home as they are 8-2

I predict at some point we will be down by a dozen and it will tell us nothing about who wins the game.
"I think they're very good," Farley said of the preseason top 25 Hawkeyes. "But so are we."

If we can win a road game, I'll fully buy in to this team making a turnaround. I am still not convinced, but cautiously optimistic.

Same opinion, different way of getting there, I'm going with the "Moscow rules from Goldfinger" train of thought. This will be the third win in a row, and goes a long way into bringing me back on board.

If the Cats can get on a roll here, (after a prolonged skid) it wouldn't exactly be unprecedented.
In 2015/16 we lost 6 of 7 games before winning 9 of our last 10. And last season we lost 7 straight before winning 9 of 10.
Of course, last year we ended up losing our last 4 of the year, whereas in 15/16 we won the MVC tourney and beat Texas, (before the game that shall not be remembered)...so these peaks and valleys aren't exactly an indicator of anything.

We’ve got to get these guys this time. Payback on the road for starting our conference losing streak would tie us with them for 7th place and a split of the season series.

Let’s get our first true road win!

Indiana State redefined the term "Steamroll" against Illinois State, and Drake fended off Msu in Des Moines. I was making fun of people for saying this last week, but this league is still truly wide open.

Under 16. 5-3 SIU. Sloppy play on offense so far to start the game, from both sides.

                  3 point fest again, ugh.

16-12 at the under 12. Three point defense remains an issue, I think SIU's got four already, hopefully we shore that up/SIU starts to miss. Koch off the bench is a much better option than Koch starting.

18-14 under 8, looking a little better now, slowin' it down like we need to. Shot selection isn't the greatest, and we're still playing a little fast and loose with the ball, but it hasn't bit us so far.

Alright, hanging tough. Down 4 at under 8 considering SIU hitting multiple 3-balls not too bad. One of their guys with 3 fouls already.

Well, Koch was making good decisions, until that Triple team there.

I swear sometimes we don't even look before we pass.
