Reading about the Cancun Challenge: Early details announced for 2019 men’s and women’s Cancun Challenge

The Riviera Division of the 2019 men’s Cancun Challenge will feature Northern Iowa, South Carolina, West Virginia and Wichita State. They will each host two games against Mayan Division teams (Boston University, Gardner-Webb, Northern Colorado and UT Martin) in the U.S., then play twice in bracket play Nov. 26-27 at the event. All matchups and game details will be announced in 2019.
Does that mean that we'll get two HOME games?

Yepp! 2 essentially buy game caliber opponents, but 2 home games nonetheless!

Pretty nice! I would think that they would even it up - every team gets one home / one away.
        I’m thinking I’ll go. Derrik-nothin’-but-Netten, make a charter!

So only 2 games in Cancun. That's disappointing since most pre-conference tournaments have 3 games.

2 Here, 2 in Cancun. Selfishly hoping we get Wichita down there. This tournament looked great on paper a few months ago but, eek, not so much anymore.

Not sure what the problem is, Cedar Falls is often referred to as the Cancun of the Midwest...

Kind of on topic here... I know a lot of people were worried about Phyfe and his health situation. On the Driving the Lane podcast yesterday, they talking to Austin's dad. Sounds like Phyfe has been practicing and his last episode was just before Christmas. Good sign for him going forward.
To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

Great to hear - hope they've got it figured out. We could take a big step next year if he's healthy and Pickford gets back up to speed.
Give us a yell, HO! The purple and the gold
                Victory for U-N-I!

Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

West Virginia could be fairly vulnerable next season. They are having a really tough year, unexpectedly so. I wouldn't be too surprised, personally, to see 'ol Bobby Huggins hang it up here in a couple of weeks.

Where did Tim Miles coach previously? Was it N. Colo? Denver? (Where will he coach next - after Nebraska )

colorado state and North Dakota State.

Big 10 wil see several changes. Really they should just do a three way trade and save everyone some money none of them are going to be successful.

Jon Rothstein says we are going to Colorado. Assuming a buy game unless someone knows different.

Source: Colorado will host Northern Iowa as part of its 19-20 non-conference schedule.

It is indeed a buy game and a great one to take. Colorado is beatable, yet will finish in the top half of the Pac12.

Perfect type of game to take.
