So, less than a one percent bump the Fall semester following the Sweet 16 from Fall 2009, to an all time high for the school.

A drop in Fall 2011, still about seven-tenths of a percetage point above Fall 2009.

    Then in decline since.
    "Well, that escalated quickly."

Dave at Bracketville has us as an 8th seed in Omaha playing Seton Hall, with Kansas as the #1 seed there. He is rated #1 on the bracketmatrix, Jerry Palm is #85 and Joe Lunardi is #55.

Basketball Bracketology is hard. I'm rated #111, though I have improved all three years after the first. My issue is always giving mid-majors more a benefit of the doubt. I'm pretty rational until it comes to those last few spots. I also don't like docking mid-majors in the seeds from where their numbers say they should be. I'm much better at FCS Bracketology.

To bad you aren't on the committee...

If I was, I'd be fighting like hell for the "little guy". Analytically, I understand why the Power Seven teams get 30-32 or the 36 at-large bids, but I still think there's an over crediting given to those who do less than more than those who do more with less.

Beef, enjoyed your article on onpressrow comparing mid majors and power 5's from the sports guy and hawkeye fan's perspectives. But I'm left with the burning question, who's the better team UNI or Iowa?

Hard for me to answer, I'm a UNI fan and a devout Iowa hater. I think both teams would win on their home floor. Neutral? Think it comes down to how it's played. Garza is an advantage down low. If it becomes a shooting contest, I don't know that Iowa could keep up with UNI normally.

I agree 100%, but was hoping you would say UNI and it's not even close.

(because one of those teams is afraid to play such a game)

Even if the Big 4 was still going, we wouldn't know. Would have been Iowa State this year and we would have ROLLED...

Seth Davis tweeted his votes, he has us at 24 - the first time he's had us in.

Get our 2 wins this week and I think we crack it. Hard to ignore a 13-1 team with a huge road win.

                            Make it happen Cats!

Points wise, we're still pretty far back - Arizona is 25th at 113 and we had 32, so it may take a 2-3 weeks imo. Still good to move up 6 spots this week though. Also, does anybody recall the website for NET that has a breakdown by team, including the quads for all games played and remaining? I thought somebody posted it on here a week or two ago, but now I can't find it.

You can always look at it by team sheet on this link. Download the pdf, and it's in order of NET rank so you can jump to pages using a teams rank. Of course we're towards the top anyways!
