    BREAKING: Loyola Chicago is leaving the Missouri Valley Conference and joining the Atlantic 10 for the 2022-23 academic year.

      My honest reaction is: ....ok?

      The A-10 is a slight step ahead of the Valley, but only slight. Sagarin had the MVC 11th and the A-10 9th. I don't think the economics are improved.

        However A-10 with Loyola added would be even better, and MVC without Loyola would be worse.

          For sure, but I'm not sure you're talking about material changes.

          It doesn't drop us from a multi-bid league to a single-bid, and I don't think it gets them an extra.

            I'm shocked they actually pulled the trigger on it. Makes sense for them, and considering we've had trouble with them more than anyone else, I'm not sad to see them go. No ill will towards them.
