I will be there for the first time this season. Seeing the once yearly tradition of beating Wichita State in the McLeod happen again in person is too good to pass up.

Im surprised we have not seen a bigger social media push for this wichita game. Im guessing a lot of the general public who don't follow the team close even realize that we have the game Saturday.

Agreed. They have a whole week to sell this game to the public too.

Its Sat night, familiar opponent, good game. No football games for UNI, Iowa, ISU. Should be full push to try and fill the arena for this one. Discounts, advertising, etc.

We did what we should've against a D3 opponent, but I still think there were some pretty solid takeaways.

          - Geon Hutchins is going to be so stinking good, man. I wanted him to get a ton of minutes in this game and thankfully he did. His outside shot looks really solid to go with the fact he is great inside for a guard. Haven't even talked about the fact he's probably the most disruptive 1 on 1 defender we have too. He's just going to be special.

          - I liked seeing Izzy get a bunch of minutes. He has such a quick first step for a big and he's really strong and explosive. He just needs to continue developing his confidence.

          - Happy for Chase getting a good amount of minutes. It sounds like he's everything you want from a walk on. He had a good game, but I do think it's important to note that he wasn't "moving" anyone down low on the post when he was backing them up. They pretty much stonewalled him. I think the biggest positive from him was how confidently he just nailed all of his free throws. I doubt this is a real thing we will do, but it kind of made me wonder if we would ever potentially sub him in at the 5 spot later in a closeout game for free throws. Will still just doesn't look super confident there.

          - It really felt like Leon was just trying to do way too much last night. He's the highest ceiling guy we have, though.

          - Congrats to Trey on 1,000 points. Great kid and excellent ball player.

          Big one coming Saturday night!

I think we may see Chase in little bursts against the right matchups. He's 5 more fouls if nothing else and the big kid from Murray is shooting 55% from the line and the Belmont bigs are both sub 50%.

Yepp. Definitely think against the legit bigs in the league he could get some run, if necessary, but the continued development of Izzy is the primary hope there. Also need to make sure we are not giving him the ball anywhere but in the post or out on the perimeter when he's running the offense. Don't make him do more than a backdown dribble before doing something else.
