The NIT cares about money so a team who the Nit thinks will produce more money will get the nod in a higer seed or just in the NIT. Thats why you see so many horrible big schools compared to average teams in the MVC,CAA, and other schools with smaller fan bases

I wouldn't say that is as much the case as before. This year, all teams who won their conference in the regular season, but didn't make the NCAA Tourney get an automatic bid to the NIT. Last year, quality non-BCS teams made the NIT. The four non-BCS schools to not make the NCAA Tourney in the top 50 RPI got byes in the play-in games and home games in the 1st round (Mizzou State vs. Stanford, Hofstra vs. Nebraska, Creighton vs. Akron, and St. Joes vs. Rutgers). The only teams in the top 100 RPI, and non-BCS, to not make the NIT were Northeastern (18-11), Virginia Commonwealth (19-10), UNLV (17-13), New Mexico St (15-14), Ohio (18-11), and Hawaii (17-11). And most of those were in the 90-100 RPI range. 3 over 100 RPI teams (that I could find didn't make the NIT) that made the NIT were Penn State, N.Arizona, and Delaware St..The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.
